Welcome to Tate's Handheld Conference Wiki: Please join us!

The wiki was begun in 2008 in preparation for Tate's first Handheld Conference: From Audiotours to iPhones. Since then it has continued to grow as a resource and repository for case studies and best practice in mobile interpretation for museums.

We're now gearing up for the 2010 Handheld Conference (at this point we're thinking of the conference as a bi-annual September event).

We had an exciting suggestion from Vincent Ronden: to start a "game" which starts a few months before the conference to get participants interacting with each other to solve problems/generate ideas concerning mobile solutions, mediaguides of the future etc. Vincent's idea is, "By doing this the participants are triggered to look at/think about the future in stead of what's going on right now." So here's a space to brainstorm what this game or other pre-conference activities might look like...

Making some of the sessions available via Webcasting would be great. This may be the only way us Canadians can particiapte!
Thanks

That would be great! Living in Holland makes it hard to visit the conference ;-)

Agree with Vincent and Morag.
Would love to visit the actual event, as the information from the first one in 2008 was a great help to my internship research on handheld devices in museums.

But a webcast or short clips on YouTube would be great too!
