  • URL:

    http://www.mscapers.com/msin/ABA0000026

  • Location:

    Global activity.

  • Purpose:

    Create environmental awareness.

  • Target audience:

Everyone. It's a topic that is important for everyone. The fun thing about this walk, is that it really can be played in every city.

  • Short description:

Through a mixture of several stories, the narrator tells you about changes in the world because of the climate shift. By using spots that can be found in every city, for instance a tree, a brick wall and shop windows, the story feels like it's almost especially written for your location. When you reach the 'middle' of the story, the narrator asks you to find your own way back by visiting the spots you marked with your gps device. By going back the way you came, you learn more about the stories and what happened at the exact locations.

*information gathered by walking the tour myself.

  • The power of this concept:

The power of this concept, i found to be that the walk can be done everywhere. Another fun thing about this walk, is that you decide where you want to go to. You choose the locations of the story, which influences your own perception of the stories that are being told.

  • Media usage:

This story uses a pocket pc with mscapes installed on it. This story is only available online, so you have to own or borrow a pocket pc.

  • Used software:

Mscape. The tour is available for free on the mscapes website

  • gps usage:

In the beginning of the walk, the gps does nothing exept remember the locations you pinpointed. When you start to walk back, those pinpointed locations start new audiofiles which conclude the different stories.
